A major injury update has just been revealed for Colorado Avalanche veteran forward Logan O'Connor, sending shockwaves through fans and analysts alike ahead of next season.

Logan O'Connor is skating today. This will mark the first time that we have seen him skate in Colorado after his hip surgery postseason.
While O'Connor doesn't match the severity of Gabriel Landeskog's setback, he's been a key piece in Colorado's bottom-six forward group and a dependable penalty killer. His absence will test the Avalanche's depth right out of the gate next season.
Both of these developments are very encouraging signs as the season appraoches. With training camp now less than a month away, the Avalanche are gearing up for what could be their most pivotal season since the unforgettable 2021-22 campaign, when the franchise captured the Stanley Cup for the third time.
