Jack Roslovic's future with the Colorado Avalanche has now been made clear, as the forward officially inked a one-year contract with the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday, bringing an end to any speculation about where he'd play next season.

One of the top remaining free agents on the market is finally set to put pen to paper, ending the wait over his next destination.

Jack Roslovic signs a one-year deal with the Edmonton Oilers.

Tyler Kuehl from Daily Faceoff writes that on Wednesday night, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman broke the news that the Edmonton Oilers were set to sign forward Jack Roslovic.
The team made it official shortly after the report surfaced, confirming the deal during their game against the Calgary Flames.
"The deal holds an annual average value of $1.5 million. He'll be a UFA if not signed before July 1." -Kuehl

Roslovic entered the 2025-26 season as an unrestricted free agent, remaining unsigned following the expiration of his one-year contract with the Carolina Hurricanes. That previous deal carried a cap hit of $2.8 million.
Several teams expressed interest in the 28-year-old forward, including the Toronto Maple Leafs, Vancouver Canucks, and Colorado Avalanche.
However, Roslovic ultimately seized the chance to join the two-time defending Western Conference champions.
"Roslovic will provide some much-needed secondary scoring to a team that saw significant turnover since last year's Stanley Cup Final. Though the team has captain Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, Edmonton could use a little more offensive prowess further down the lineup." -Kuehl

Over the course of nine NHL seasons, which have also included stints with the Winnipeg Jets and New York Rangers, Roslovic has suited up for 526 regular-season games, recording 102 goals and 158 assists for a total of 260 points.
He's also contributed 17 points across 45 career Stanley Cup Playoff appearances.
