Colorado Avalanche's GM announces an unexpected move with goaltender following latest roster transaction

Tonight, the Colorado Avalanche are looking to close out their three game road trip, and are looking to sweep the road trip, as the previously beat the Chicago Blackhawks, and the Columbus Blue Jackets, but leading up to the game, Avalanche's General Manager Chris MacFarland announced an unexpected roster transaction involving a goaltender.
Colorado is currently riding a two-game winning streak, as they had a come from behind win against the Chicago Blackhawks in the third period, and beat them 3-2 in shootout.
And then they headed to Columbus where they absolutely ended up dominating that game, beating the Blue Jackets 7-3.
Well both
Blackwood, and Wedgewood have played a game during the road trip, clearing the air of speculation in regards of one dealing with an injury.
It's still unclear why the Avalanche ended up recalling Mandolese, but today the Avalanche have made another roster transaction involving a goaltender.
Chris MacFarland Announces A Roster Transaction Involving A Goaltender
Ahead of the game, Chris MacFarland announced that the Colorado Avalanche have reassigned goaltender
Kevin Mandolese to the Colorado Eagles in the American Hockey League.
The Avs have reassigned (G) Kevin Mandolese to the Colorado Eagles
Mandolese did not end up seeing any action after being called up, and we are still unsure why he was called up in the first place.
He has been pretty solid for the Colorado Eagles this season, appearing in 17 games having a record of 10-6-0 with a 2.86 GAA and a .905 SV%.
