The Colorado Avalanche Send A Warning To Their Upcoming Playoff Opponents

With a massive 7-3 win against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday night, the Colorado Avalanche officially clinched their spot in the NHL playoffs for an eighth consecutive season.

Not only did they clinch their playoff spot, but Cale Makar also made NHL history after scoring his 30th goal of the year, becoming the first defenseman to do so since Mike Green did during the 2008-09 season.

After their win, the Colorado Avalanche's media team on X (Twitter) sent out a warning to their upcoming opponents in the playoffs.

When the Avalanche ended up clinching, their media team sent a three-word warning stating "Built for this", and are they ever built for it this year.

With the moves that the Colorado Avalanche made during the NHL trade deadline, they are going to be one of the deepest teams, and hardest teams to beat during the playoffs, and they know it.

General Manager Chris MacFarland went out and made some massive moves, nothing as big as trading Mikko Rantanen for Martin Necas, but he also went out and got some more depth pieces like Brock Nelson, Charlie Coyle, and Jack Drury who have all fit in nicely.

The Avalanche may not have the deepest defensive core, but with the additions of Mackenzie Blackwood, and Scott Wedgewood, along with all the other moves the Avalanche made during the trade deadline, they look ready to make a nice run at winning another Stanley Cup this year.

It's likely that the Avalanche are going to meet the Dallas Stars in the playoffs once again, this time in the first-round, and the Avalanche are hopeful for a different outcome.
