Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final unraveled on Monday night, with the Edmonton Oilers piling up 85 minutes during a 6-1 defeat to the Florida Panthers, who now lead the series 2-1.

Antonio Losada from Athlon Sports writes that the combined penalty minutes soared to 140, the fourth-highest total ever recorded in a Stanley Cup Final.
"The Oilers were whistled for 21 penalties, including 16 in the third period alone, while Florida racked up 55 penalty minutes on 14 penalty calls." -Losada
Rodrigues only played one season with the Avalanche through 2022-23 and put 39 points (16 goals, 23 assists) in 69 games.
A.J. Greer was a Colorado second round draft-pick in 2015 and played three seasons with the Avalanche before being dealt to the New York Islanders in 2020.
The two former Avalanche players have played a huge factor in these playoffs, helping the Panthers get to the Stanley Cup Final for a third straight season. Rodrigues has been providing consistent offense, while Greer's physical presence has proven to throw Edmonton off their game in this series.
Both teams will get some additional rest before Game 4 on Thursday night, where the Panthers can seize a 3-1 series lead and move within reach of a second straight championship.
