New report reveals stunning blockbuster trade that would send Avalanche superstar to the Rangers

A new report has unveiled a shocking blockbuster trade proposal that would see Colorado Avalanche superstar forward Martin Necas heading to the New York Rangers in a move that could dramatically shake up the NHL landscape.
Necas has reportedly been unhappy with his time in Colorado ever since being traded by the Carolina Hurricanes in February of last season.

Justin Lynch from The Sporting News writes that Necas' future has become an intriguing storyline, as reports suggest the recently acquired star has already grown unhappy during his brief tenure with the team.
"Well, it appears a similar situation may be unfolding with Martin Necas. The Czech native is going into the final year of his current contract that carries a cap hit of $6.5 million. Do the Avs decide to take the risk of holding onto Necas with the possibility he jumps ship for nothing in 2026 free agency?" -Lynch
If the Avalanche opt against keeping him, the question turns to which team could become Necas' next destination. Nestor Quixtan of Heavy Sports has proposed an intriguing trade scenario that would send Necas to the New York Rangers in exchange for future assets.
"In this deal, the Rangers add a point per game forward entering the prime of his career who could help the squad return to the playoffs next year after a disappointing 24-25 campaign. For the Avs, they receive top draft picks and a prospect who they could flip for more immediate reinforcements." -Lynch
Several challenges would need to be addressed for this trade to materialize. For starters, the Rangers currently have just $778K in salary cap space, meaning some serious cap maneuvering would be required to make the deal work. On top of that, the Rangers face a similar dilemma as the Avalanche: Necas could walk in free agency next summer if a long-term agreement isn't reached.
Necas' situation will be one to watch this season, as he reaches a critical juncture in his young and developing NHL career.
