Colorado Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar has just confirmed the worst regarding Ross Colton's ongoing lower-body injury.

Since the Colorado Avalanches dominate 5-1 road victory in game-1, head coach Jared Bednar confirmed forward Ross Colton had suffered a lower-body injury.
Jared Bednar said Ross Colton is being evaluated for a lower body injury and should have more updates tomorrow
During game one, Colton left early in the third period and didn't return back to the game, ultimately ending his night with 7:04 in time on the ice.
Since then we have a seen a series of update on Colton and sadly they never got better as time passed.

Pass updates regarding Ross Colton's injury

Jared Bednar gave an update ahead of game-two, which indicated that things weren't looking good for Colton.
Ross Colton is feeling «not great» according to Bednar. He wouldn't confirm if he can play or not but that doesn't sound good.
And then, ahead of Game-four Jared Bednar has provided another update on the 28-year old forward, and stated that Coltan is doing better but unfortunately he's not quite ready to return back to play:
Jared Bednar said that Ross Colton is doing better but «still not there yet» and still has a little bit to go
Unfortunately it has gotten worse as head coach Jared Bednar has just confirmed the worst.

Jared Bednar confirms Ross Colton's status for the remainder of the playoff series

Just a few moments ago head coach Jared Bednar confirmed that Ross Colton will likely not return for the remainder of their first series against the Dallas Stars.
Truly some unfortunate news as the Avs need all the help they can get heading into Game-Six.
