The Colorado Avalanche appear to have reached a final decision regarding the top free agent forward available in Jack Roslovic, with the latest news indications where he will likely sign ahead of next NHL season.

The Avalanche have reportedly been entertaining the idea of signing Roslovic to a deal this offseason.

Latest report reveals Jack Roslovic's fate with the Avalanche.

Jeremy Tingly from NHL Trade Rumors writes that with September fast approaching and NHL training camps on the horizon, the 2025 offseason is nearing its end. Among the few free agents still available, Roslovic stands out as the top name left on the market.
Roslovic, 28, was a first-round pick by the Winnipeg Jets and enjoyed a breakout season last year with the Carolina Hurricanes, scoring a career-high 22 goals in 81 games. He also contributed four points in nine Stanley Cup Playoff games. Looking ahead to the 2025-26 season, he could potentially land with one of two teams in the mix for his services.
"The Hurricanes are reportedly still interested in bringing back Roslovic, despite not signing him ahead of free agency, and letting him hit the open market. Carolina currently sits with $10.6 million in cap space and Roslovic is likely to get $3-4.5 million AAV on his next deal." -Tingly

It's a peculiar situation that seems to be a bit of a standoff between Roslovic's camp and GM Eric Tulsky, with the disagreement reportedly revolving more around the length of the deal rather than the annual average value.
"As for the other team involved, keep an eye on the Toronto Maple Leafs. Multiple insiders have reported the Leafs are still interested, and for numerous reasons. Toronto has a gaping hole at right wing after Mitch Marner departed, and despite Max Domi being a reasonable replacement on the top line with Auston Matthews and Matthew Knies, Roslovic could also be a fit." -Tingly

Keep an eye on developments this week. Roslovic appears very close to signing, and we could see him officially join either his former team or a new destination within the next week or so.
