Makar's brother Cale spoke about his brother's signing and had admiration enjoy that his brother is now with the organization and that the move to the University of Maine was the right one to do.
Landeskog working on conditioning for a possible return
Avalanche captain Gabe Landeskog has been skating with the eagles for the past couple of days as he was loaned to the team by the Colorado organization.
Landeskog has not played in NHL game since mid March of 2022 after undergoing knee surgeries including a transplant of cartilage which has caused setbacks in his recovery and has kept him from the ice.
The team is cautiously excited to see whether Landeskog could be available during this year's playoffs as his skating appears to be going well. It's likely they will not push him and perhaps remain out of the lineup until next year where he will have a full summer to continue his recovery.
No matter the case, this is a positive step for their beloved captain in hopes that he will be ready for next season where he can get back to business and try to help the Avalanche win another Stanley Cup.
