According to NHL insider
Aaron Portzline, the Colorado Avalanche were stuck in Chicago last night following their win and there was some speculation the game may get canceled.
The reason for them being stuck there was due to a severe storm that ended up hitting the Midwest late last night, and has been giving the Avalanche problems with traveling.
It was reported that the game was still on schedule for their 7:30 pm start time, but the weather could easily cause some big delays and force the NHL to cancel the game.
Due to severe storms in the Midwest late Wed/early Thu, #GoAvsGo did not make it out of Chicago following their 3-2 SO win.
They're still there as of 9:30 am ET, hoping to fly out later this morning.
As of now, tonight's game (7:30 pm) vs #CBJ is still on as scheduled.
A recent report has just confirmed whether or not the game will be canceled tonight.
Colorado Avalanche reporter Adrian Hernandez recently made a report that he has since deleted but it stated that the Colorado Avalanche were able to make it to Columbus just after 12 p.m. ET, and it looks like the game will still be good to go.
To further this more, the Colorado Avalanche themselves made a post on social media stating "who's ready for more hockey?" basically confirming that the game will be a go!
Who's ready for more Avs hockey tonight?!
