Colorado Avalanche Vs Columbus Blue Jackets Game Canceled? A Major Report Has Just Surfaced
The Avalanche began their three game road trip last night against the Chicago Blackhawks, and started it with a big win.
The Avalanche were trailing 2-0 entering the third period, the Avalanche were able to battle back scoring two goals in the third period to tie up the game, with the game tying goal being scored with just over 8 seconds left in regulation.
Overtime did not see much action, and the game went to a shootout, the second time in a row the Avalanche have gone to shootout, where the Avs would end up winning it this time unlike in their previous game
against the Calgary Flames.
Now there is some worry that their game tonight may be canceled after the Avalanche are have some traveling issues.
Avalanche-Jackets Game May Be Canceled
This morning, NHL insider Aaron Portzline stated that the Colorado Avalanche are having some traveling issues.
According to
Portzline, the Avalanche were not able to leave Chicago after their win last night due to some severe storms the Midwest is being hit with right now.
Portzline did state that the game is still currently on as scheduled but this could easily change depending on how long they get stuck in Chicago.
Due to severe storms in the Midwest late Wed/early Thu, #GoAvsGo did not make it out of Chicago following their 3-2 SO win.
They're still there as of 9:30 am ET, hoping to fly out later this morning.
As of now, tonight's game (7:30 pm) vs #CBJ is still on as scheduled.
