Chicago Blackhawks fans are fuming after the team made waves by signing former Colorado Avalanche Stanley Cup champion Andre Burakovsky, a move many didn't see coming this past summer.

So far, Blackhawks fans aren't impressed with what Burakovsky has brought to the table this preseason.

Blackhawks fans outraged from Andre Burakovsky's preseason performance.

Jack Sutherland from Hawks Insider writes that Blackhawks GM Kyle Davidson made a bold move this summer, bringing in Burakovsky from the Seattle Kraken in exchange for Joe Veleno.
Frustrated Blackhawks fans have already taken to social media to vent their displeasure.
I've seen enough of Burakovsky. We have the youth and skill coming up no reason he should be on the first line.

Idk why we traded for him in the first place

He looks so bad.

Following the fan backlash, Burakovsky addressed the criticism directly, saying...
"Wow, coming to a new team, learning a new coaching staff, new system, first preseason game you think they may want to give home some time to get acclimated?" -Burakovsky

Last season, Burakovsky recorded 37 points (10 goals, and 27 assists) in 79 games.
He was selected 23rd overall by the Washington Capitals in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft and spent the first several years of his NHL career with the Capitals.
"He helped them to the franchise's 1st and only Stanley Cup win to date in 2018. But just over a year later, he was traded to the Colorado Avalanche for Scott Kosmachuk and a pair of draft selections.

Burakovsky won his 2nd Stanley Cup, this time with the Avalanche in 2022. Unable to keep him, he signed a 5 year contract with the Kraken that summer." -Sutherland

Over 696 career NHL games, Burakovsky has accumulated 397 points, including 153 goals and 234 assists.
