Sidney Crosby of the Pittsburgh Penguins and Colorado Avalanche star Nathan MacKinnon unexpectedly show up at Brad Marchand's Stanley Cup celebration in a wild scene unfolding in Nova Scotia.

The Florida Panthers are Stanley Cup champions once again, securing back-to-back titles, and it was former Boston Bruins captain Marchand who played a major role in making it happen.

Jack Sutherland from Hockey Unplugged writes that Marchand was a force in the Stanley Cup Final, scoring six goals against the Edmonton Oilers to help the Panthers secure back-to-back titles and earn the second of his career.
Shortly after, he raised eyebrows by signing with the Panthers on a six-year deal, effectively ending any hopes Bruins fans had of a summer reunion. Recently, Marchand celebrated his day with the Stanley Cup in his home province of Nova Scotia, where fellow NHL stars Crosby and MacKinnon also hail from.
Both Crosby and MacKinnon made surprise appearances at Marchand's Stanley Cup celebration, where the three Nova Scotia natives posed together for a photo with the Cup proudly in front of them.
Marchand, Crosby, and MacKinnon have all shared the ice as teammates in international play before, most recently Team Canada at the 4 Nations Faceoff tournament in February, where they helped lead the team to victory.
"Included on that Canadian roster was Marchand's current Panthers teammate, Sam Reinhart, while the American squad Canada defeated included Matthew Tkachuk. Marchand had the chance to hit free agency and could have signed with a number of teams, including the Toronto Maple Leafs, but chose instead to come back to the Panthers." -Sutherland

Marchand signed a six-year extension to stay in Florida, a deal that keeps him under contract until the age of 42. Whether he plays out the full term or decides to retire before then remains to be seen.
