Colorado sports team shockingly fires head coach and GM following a recent announcement

Puzzling news to report out of Denver today, as the Nuggets cleaned house of Coach Michael Malone and GM Calvin Booth.
The house cleaning for the Nuggets happened as a surprise near the end of the 2025 NBA season.
Both the GM and Coach were responsible for delivering the Nuggets' first NBA title in 2023. The puzzling moves happened after the team had regressed and lost four-games in a row, and are at risk of falling into the NBA play-in.
While it seems puzzling to some, delving further into the subject, the Denver Nuggets have gone 11-13 since the All-Star Break in the NBA.
They're 4th in the NBA's Western Conference and two years removed from their NBA championship in 2023.
Despite all of this, the firing of Malone and failure to extend Calvin Booth seems like a structural problem, which there was according to one source from ESPN.
When the Nuggets entered this season, sources told ESPN that there was growing tension between Malone and Booth that grew into a "cold war."
As there has been strife between Booth and Malone who seem to have different visions of the team clashing before both of them were let go.
"This decision was not made lightly," Josh Kroenke, vice chairman of Kroenke Sports and Entertainment, said in a team statement.
It seems like the front office was unable to stop a future conflagration, which would've brought turmoil behind the scenes.
Now, instead of hunting for an NBA Championship in 2025, the Nuggets are looking for a Head Coach and a GM in the future.
