Video: Cale Makar Officially Makes History With The Colorado Avalanche

Just last night, the Colorado Avalanche were taking on the Chicago Blackhawks, and had to battle back from being down 2-0 entering the third period.

Who else other Cale Makar to score his 29th goal of the year and help his team battle back into the game? He would also pick up an assist on the game tying that came with just over 8 seconds remaining in the third period.

There was some speculation that tonight's game may get canceled due to the Colorado Avalanche being stuck in Columbus as they were hit with a severe storm. Thankfully thought the game did happen because Cale Makar just made history.

Makar ended up scoring his 29th goal of the season against the Columbus Blue Jackets, and entering tonight he had the chance to make some history with the Avalanche, and he did just that.

The Avalanche went on a scoring spree in the third period, scoring three goals to come back from being down 3-2, and Makar scored the third goal during the second period to become the first NHL defenseman to score 30 goals since Mike Green did in 2008-09.

Makar and MacKinnon have been carrying the Avalanche, and it would be scary to think of where they would be without both of them.

Makar sits second in points on the Avalanche with 30 goals, 59 assists for 89 points in just 76 games.
