Jonathan Drouin's career has been a rollercoaster so far, and now at 30 years old, the former top prospect is set to enter free agent on July 1.

Despite dealing with injuries, he had a strong showing last season with the Colorado Avalanche, tallying 11 goals and 37 points over 43 games.

We know where this Avalanche star forward is heading next season.

Jeremy Tingly from NHL Trade Rumors writes that the Avalanche may be hesitant to offer Drouin a multi-year deal, especially with tight cap space and potential plans to reshape their top six without the skilled winger.
With free agency opening on July 1, Drouin is expected to draw significant attention, here are the teams that could be in the mix.
The Montreal Canadiens outperformed predictions last season and are quickly emerging as a rising team to watch going into the 2025-26 campaign.
"Drouin making his way to Montreal would be quite the story, and he'd fit in nicely as a veteran winger who could help boost their lineup offensively. The Habs should be aggressive this summer on the free-agent market, and adding Drouin should be something they consider." -Tingly

The Winnipeg Jets face key roster decisions this offseason, with Nikolaj Ehlers potentially playing his way out of their price range. If that happens, Drouin could emerge as an appealing backup plan for GM Kevin Cheveldayoff, offering a more affordable cap hit and a shorter-term deal.
The Los Angeles Kings consistently find themselves facing the Edmonton Oilers in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and while their defensive structure holds up well, their lack of offensive firepower continues to be a major hurdle in outscoring their high-powered rivals.
"Look for the Kings to add up front and add some scoring, and playmaking prowess. Drouin would be a great addition in LA, and they'll certainly be an attractive option for Drouin, and many other free agents." -Tingly

We'll have to wait a few more weeks to see where Drouin ends up.
