Game Changing Injury News Strikes Game 1 Of Colorado Avalanche-Dallas Stars Playoff Series

To end the year, the Colorado Avalanche were pretty banged up and had to play the last two games of the year without six of their top players.

Colorado was without the likes of Jonathan Drouin, Nathan MacKinnon, Cale Makar, Ross Colton, Ryan Lindgren, and Josh Manson.

Jared Bednar stated that they were all considered day-to-day, but should be good to go for game 1 of the playoffs, but that could easily change.

Now some game changing injury news surfaced that should benefit the Avalanche for at least the first game of the season.

The Dallas Stars have been without one of their best defenseman for awhile as Miro Heiskanen has been out of the lineup with an injury since January 28th, after undergoing a surgery on his knee.

There was some speculation he could be back for game one of their first-round matchup, but a recent announcement revealed that the Stars are going to be without him for the first game.

Losing Heiskanen is a big loss for the Stars, not only does he log a lot of minutes for them, but he is also a threat on offense.

In 50 games this year, he scored 5 goals, along with 20 assists for 25 points, while logging 25:10 of ice time per game this season.
