The AHL issues a special announcement towards Colorado Avalanche top prospect

The Colorado Avalanche prospect pipeline is producing fruit late in the season.
Wyatt Aamodt, who has played the last four seasons in the
AHL with the Eagles, scored his first NHL goal.
Not only was the goal his first, but it was the first of many, which started a rally by the Avalanche to bury the Ducks.
The goal was scored at 10:05 into the third period off a wrist shot, which was deflected into the goal.
Aamodt's first NHL career goal would give the Avalanche a chance to tie the game, which Jack Drury would later at 14:34 and give the Avalanche a winning chance.
Not only did Aamodt come in clutch, but the left-shot defenseman helped give the team a solid boost before the playoffs against the Dallas Stars begin soon.
It appears Aamodt was signed by the Colorado Avalanche in April of 2022, to a two-year deal with a cap hit of $775K.
Will this convince GM Chris McFarland to keep him around? We'll see, but it was nice to see someone like Aamodt contribute so close to the end of the regular season.
As of Monday morning, it was reported that Aamodt had been returned to the AHL and will join Captain Gabe Landeskog with the Colorado Eagles.
