Just moments before tonight's upcoming between the Colorado Avalanche and St. Louis Blues, head coach Jared Bednar provides an official update on two key players.

Just prior to the Avalanche's game against the Blues, head coach Jared Bednar meet with press and gave a critical up on both Martin Necas and Jonathan Drouin.
Just recently both Jonathan Drouin and Martin Necas suffered injuries when they faced off against the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday night.
Late during the Colorado and Blackhawks game Martin Necas left the ice for a brief moment after a very unfortunate play:
Here's a look if you missed it:
Jonathan Drouin took an awkward hit along the boards early in the game from a Blackhawks player, and the contact looked to hit him in his knee/lower thigh area.
He then exited the game after playing just seven shifts and did not return.

Head coach Jared Bednar provides massive update on both players

However, before tonight's game Jared Bednar issued a statement and revealed some positive news regarding both players, here's what he had to say:
Jared Bednar tells @ConorMcGahey Necas is sore and won't play tonight. Drouin went back to Denver but both are considered day to day.

«Nothing that should keep them out long-term.»
Definitely a very positive update as we're expected to see both players return back to the lineup before the Playoffs start on April 19th.
