Colorado Avalanche Head Coach Jared Bednar Has Confirmed Their Game One Starting Goaltender

The Colorado Avalanche are set to face off against the Dallas Stars in the first round of the playoffs this year, and head coach Jared Bednar has confirmed who the starting goaltender is going to be.
Yesterday during an optional practice, the Colorado Avalanche saw some surprising players on the ice.
All of Nathan MacKinnon, Jonathan Drouin, Ryan Lindgren, and captain Gabriel Landeskog were all present on the ice and wearing regular jerseys.
This is huge for the Avalanche, considering all of these players have been out with injuries to finish off the regular season.
Now Bednar has confirmed who his game one starting goaltender is going to be.

There was some conflict to finish out the season, and Jared Bednar ended up calling out goaltender Mackenzie Blackwood stating that he hasn't been playing good, and that he needs to be better before the playoffs:
«I think he hasn't played as good as he did when he first got here, so he's got to hone in on his game here quickly. I still have a lot of confidence in him.»

Despite that, it was just confirmed that Mackenzie Blackwood is going to be the game one starting goaltender for the Avalanche.
Jared Bednar made it clear that Blackwood is starting but Wedgewood is absolutely an option if needed. What a luxury to have.
Colorado-Dallas game one takes place on Saturday night to kick off the playoffs!
