Colorado Avalanche Head Coach Jared Bednar Doesn't Hold Back And Calls Out His Team During Press Conference
The Colorado Avalanche ended up blowing another multi-goal lead in the third period against the Calgary Flames, and head coach Jared Bednar was not a fan of it, and called out his team in a press conference because of it.
Recently, the Colorado Avalanche have been known to blow multi-goal leads, and it seems like head coach Jared Bednar is getting fed up of it.
On March 16th, the Avalanche were taking on the Dallas Stars, and entered the third period with a two goal lead, and looked like they were going to sail to another victory on the year, but that wasn't the case.
The Dallas Stars ended up tying the game in the third period after Colorado dominated the first two periods, but seemed to fall asleep in the third. Thankfully the Avalanche would end up securing the victory in the overtime.
Montreal ended up tying the game in the third period scoring three quick goals. The Avalanche would win this one in shootout but the lack of being able to hold on to leads has been a growing concern.
Bednar calls out the Colorado Avalanche Players
Bednar stated that he did not like their game against the Flames, and he wasn't a fan of their effort at times either.
He later went on to speak about how he feels his team is taking a break early, but there is still
seven games left before the playoffs, and how his team needs to wake up, and prepare for the playoffs.
🗣️Jared Bednar
«I didn't think we played very well tonight. Didn't love our effort at times»
This has been a growing concern for the Avalanche lately, and hopefully they are able to figure it out before the games become a little more valuable.
