Adam Foote, Colorado Avalanche legend and the new head coach of the Vancouver Canucks, shares his secret plan to revitalize the team for the upcoming NHL season.
Canucks forward Brock Boeser is reportedly poised for a larger role to begin the season, according to comments from Foote earlier this week.

Edward Jaxon from Canucks Daily writes that after the first day of training camp, Foote told reporters that he believes forward Brock Boeser could play a key role on the team's penalty kill this season.
Asked about the PK, Adam Foote mentioned that he thinks Brock Boeser could kill penalties because of how smart he is
If that comes to pass, it would present a new challenge for the 28-year-old goal-scorer, who signed a seven-year contract to stay in Vancouver on July 1st.
"Along with Boeser, the Vancouver Canucks' penalty kill will likely also feature guys such as Teddy Blueger, Kiefer Sherwood, Drew O'Connor, Marcus Pettersson and Filip Hronek, with a few other players also being options for Adam Foote as well.
While it may be hard to replicate the success they had on the penalty kill last season, especially with the departure of Pius Suter, the Vancouver Canucks should have no issues at least being in the top-half, if not top-ten of all teams in the National Hockey League." -Jaxon

Entering the first year of his new contract, Boeser is aiming to boost his offensive output for the Canucks, following a 15-goal and 23-point decline between the 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons.
