The Colorado Avalanche divisional rival Dallas Stars continue to have a very busy offseason after the team's latest announcement, trading veteran defenseman Matt Dumba to the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The Stars also traded a second-round pick in the 2028 NHL Draft in exchange for blue-liner Vladislav Kolyachonok.

Stars make another blockbuster trade.

After spending ten seasons with the Minnesota Wild, Dumba is now set to join his fourth team in just two years.

Sportsnet reports that Dumba is heading into the final year of his two-year, $7.5 million contract with the Stars.
The 30-year-old recorded one goal and nine assists over 63 regular-season games last season but did not appear in a single playoff game.
Standing 6-foot-1 and hailing from Regina, Dumba has registered 84 goals and 174 assists for 258 points in 737 career NHL games, playing for the Minnesota Wild, Arizona Coyotes, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Dallas Stars.
Dumba was selected seventh overall by the Wild in the 2012 NHL Draft.
As for Kolyachonok, the 24-year-old was claimed off waivers by Pittsburgh from the Utah Mammoth in February. He totalled two goals and five assists across 35 games last season. The Belarusian defenseman has registered four goals and 14 assists over 74 career NHL games split between the two organizations.
With one year remaining on his contract at $775,000, he offers Dallas some cap relief compared to Dumba's $3.75 million salary.
