The Colorado Avalanche and Dallas Stars are set to faceoff against each other for game two tonight, and the Stars head coach just confirmed some troubling news, revealing he will not play tonight.

To end the year, the Colorado Avalanche were pretty banged up and had to play the last two games of the year without six of their top players.
Nathan MacKinnon, Cale Makar, Ross Colton, Jonathan Drouin, Josh Manson, and Ryan Lindgren will not go on this trip for the Avalanche.
Most of these players have returned to the Avalanche's lineup for the first game of the series, but they are still without some players.
Jared Bednar did state that they were all considered day-to-day, but should be good to go for game 1 of the playoffs.
The Stars are once again going to be without a star player for game two against the Colorado Avalanche.

Troubling News Surfaces For The Stars

The Dallas Stars have been without one of their best defenseman for awhile as Miro Heiskanen has been out of the lineup with an injury since January 28th, after undergoing a surgery on his knee.
There was some speculation he could return to the Stars lineup at some point during the first-round, as he is skating now, but it was jus confirmed that he will not be playing tonight.
DeBoer says Heiskanen remains out. Won't play tonight.
In 50 games this year, he scored 5 goals, along with 20 assists for 25 points, while logging 25:10 of ice time per game this season.
