Coby Meier from NHL.com writes that in their final game of the 2025-26 preseason, the Colorado Avalanche fell 3-2 to the Dallas Stars on Saturday at the American Airlines Center. Tristen Nielsen and Victor Olofsson scored for the Avalanche, while goaltenders Scott Wedgewood and Trent Miner combined to make 19 saves.
Dallas' Arttu Hyry got the scoring started at 6:15 of the first period, deflecting Adam Erne's wrist shot from the bottom of the left circle.
Jason Robertson extended the Stars' lead with a power-play goal off the rush at 3:45 of the second period.
Tristen Nielsen got the Avalanche on the board at 11:13 of the second period, converting a rebound from the right doorstep on the power play.
