The Colorado Eagles will look to punch their ticket to the AHL Western Conference Final win a win over the Abbotsford Canucks in Game 5 on Monday afternoon on Memorial day in America.

The Eagles tied the best-of-five series with a 3-1 win on home ice on Friday night.

The Colorado Eagles will look to do something that the Avalanche haven't done since winning the Stanley Cup in 2022.

Jeff Paterson from Yardbarker writes that the Eagles got off to an ideal start on Friday, with Jean-Luc Foudy opening the scoring just 4:22 into the game. Jayson Megna and Tue Felhaber added goals in the second period, with Felhaber recording both a goal and an assist for his first points of the AHL playoffs. Goaltender Trent Miner had a strong performance, turning aside 24 of the 25 shots he faced.
"Colorado was the best home ice team in the AHL during the regular season and will hope to make the most of home ice advantage again this afternoon. The team is 3-1 at home in the playoffs outscoring opponents 11-7 in the four games played at Blue Arena." -Paterson

Megna leads Colorado with five goals in the playoffs and shares the team scoring lead with Matthew Phillips and Felhaber, each of whom has tallied 8 points in 8 games. Meanwhile, Oskar Olausson has recorded an assist in each of the last three games and currently leads the Eagles with three points in the series.
"The Eagles have outscored the Canucks 10-9 in the series. Abbotsford holds a 112-110 edge in shots on goal. The Canucks are 2 for 10 (20%) on the power play while the Eagles are 1 for 13 (7.7%)." -Paterson

Colorado's Miner has been solid in goal in the series, posting a 1.87 GAA and a .928 save percentage. On the other side, Abbotsford's Arturs Silovs has also looked sharp, recording a 2.13 GAA, a .917 save percentage, and a shutout in Game 1.
Puck drop is set for 3:00pm MT from Blue Arena in Colorado.
