The Dallas Stars failed to go up 2-1 in their series against the Edmonton Oilers in Game 3 of the NHL Western Conference Final on Sunday.
The Stars were blown out 6-1 by the Oilers in a game where Dallas' top performers were nowhere to be seen again.

Edmonton's top guns in Connor McDavid and Zach Hyman tallied 2 goals each to lead Edmonton to a commanding 6-1 victory at home in Game 3 of the Western Conference Final against Dallas.
"You have to have dominant nights, you have to have nights where maybe your goalie is better than theirs. You have to find ways to win different games different ways and we did again tonight." -McDavid
That's something that Stars' forward Mikko Rantanen should take note of after failing to register a point in Sunday night's contest.

Rantanen has 7 points in 10 games outside of his 4 game heater. Congratulations, he showed up for three games against Colorado and one game against Dallas and has been average otherwise. Just three points in his last six games, all assists. Seven pointless games this postseason.
Rantanen has clearly been a dominant force for the Stars throughout these Stanley Cup Playoffs, but failing to register a point in Dallas' last two games, shows you how badly they need him to contribute in order to have success.
The Stars will look to break their losing streak and get back in the series in Game 4 on Tuesday night.
