A seasoned forward is said to be departing the Colorado Avalanche after the team's devastating first-round playoff loss to the Dallas Stars.
During the last trade deadline, the Colorado Avalanche landed of the most sought-after players by making a deal with the New York Islanders for Brock Nelson.
Veteran forward has decided to leave the Colorado Avalanche.
Julien Trekker from Yardbarker writes that Nelson, 33, is expected to become a free agent on July 1 and may be considering leaving the team this summer, according to a recent report.

If the player enters free agency, numerous teams are expected to pursue him, potentially sparking a huge bidding war.
Even though he didn't score during the playoffs, Nelson managed to tally 43 points in 61 games with the Islanders and 13 points in 19 games with the Avalanche.
Brock Nelson, acquired by COL, is a veteran scoring centre. A prolific creator of scoring chances, rush opportunities, and goals at 5v5 who handles the puck well. Hasn't necessarily had the defensive impact his reputation dictated; he's an offensive player first and foremost.
