Was a pending UFA after 2 year deal
The former forward was acquired by the Colorado Avalanche at the beginning of the 2022-23 from the Boston Bruins. But after just a short 14 games with the organization, he was dealt in a one-for-one trade deal with the New York Rangers involving Gustav Rydahl.
Since joining the Rangers, Blidh has made a name for himself in the AHL, as just last season he played in 64 games and managed to tally 7 goals and 10 assist for a total of 17 points.
He even suited up for one game with the New York Rangers but unfortunately failed to produce anything besides a minor penalty.
Reports reveal that Blidh has became a valuable veteran for the Hartford Wolf Pack, as he's currently in the midst of a career high in just 66 games this season, while tallying 17 goals and 13 assist.
The former 6th-round draft pick of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, has became a great mentor for the younger players in Hartford and plays every game with meaning.
