If the Dallas Stars aim to create cap flexibility, Jason Robertson, who carries a $7.75 million cap hit this season before hitting restricted free agency, would undoudtedly draw major interest from teams across the NHL.

The Vegas Golden Knights have never shied away from going all-in or pulling off a blockbuster move.

Blockbuster trade could send NHL superstar to Avalanche divisional rival.

Sam Bernardi from The Sporting news writes that it might seem far-fetched, especially after another trip to the Western Conference Final, but according to to B/R Open Ice, Robertson could be on the trade block this offseason.
Here's what the trade could look like for both teams...
Golden Knights receive: F Jason Robertson
Stars receive: F Pavel Dorofeyev, D Brayden McNabb, 2027 1st Round Pick
"Dorofeyev, a 25-year-old winger, had his breakout campaign with 35 goals and 17 assists as a top-six forward for Vegas. He is not quite Robertson offensively or defensively, but would fit in seamlessly with this Dallas squad that loves puck possession and would benefit from another excellent shooter." -Bernardi

With one year remaining on his $1.835 million deal, moving him could also help bring clarity to the Stars' cap situation.
"McNabb may be getting older, but he was still a ruthless defensive defenseman in his age-34 season. At 6-foot-4, 215 pounds, he plays the heavy game necessary for playoff success. McNabb also has three years remaining on his $3.65 million contract and could pair with either Miro Heiskanen or Thomas Harley in a top-four pairing." -Bernardi

While the Golden Knights might hesitate to part with another first-round pick, having already traded away their next two, Robertson's elite production makes the temptation hard to ignore.
With 151 goals and 197 assists in just 320 games over the past four seasons, he's a durable, high-impact forward could instantly reignite Vegas' Stanley Cup hopes.
