Back in September of 2022, MacKinnon signed his eight-year, $100.8 million contract which made him one of the highest paid players in the entire NHL when the contract was initially signed.

According to Bolavip.com, since entering the league in 2013, MacKinnon has accumulated around $85.79 million in total earnings. For the entire season, he is reported to make $16.5 million, with $15.725 coming from signing bonuses.

MacKinnon also owns a house in the Washington Park area of Denver. He reportedly bought this house back in 2016 for $2.1 million, and he reportedly has another house in his hometown in Grand Lake, Nova Scotia.
