Once again, Colorado Avalanche winger Logan O'Connor delivered a steady performance.
In his seventh NHL season, he recorded 21 points (10 goals, 11 assists) across 80 regular-season games and added six points (2 goals, 4 assists) in seven playoff appearances.
Coby Maier from NHL.com writes that since the league began tracking hits in the 2005-06 season, O'Connor became the first Avalanche player to register multiple hits and multiple points in each of the team's first two road games of a single postseason.
"Throughout the regular season, O'Connor posted four point streaks of two games, including a two-game goal streak from March 25th to March 27th. With the game-winning tally against the Los Angeles Kings on March 27th, O'Connor recorded the 100th point of his NHL career." -Maier
O'Connor also tallied seven regular-season games with three or more hits and six outings with at least two blocked shots. Offensively, he ranked eighth on the Avalanche in even-strength goals with 10, marking his second consecutive season reaching double double digits in that category.
"Entering the 2025-26 season, O'Connor will begin the first year of his six-year contract. He's 57 games from 400, 55 goals from 100 and 42 assists from 100." -Maier
Earlier this month, the Avalanche revealed, however, that forward Logan O'Connor recently underwent hip surgery. While the procedure was successful, his recovery is expected to take five to six months, meaning he'll miss a significant portion of the upcoming season.
Losing O'Connor is a significant blow to Colorado's middle-six. He's been a reliable two-way presence for the past four seasons, tallying at least eight goals and 21 points each year.
