One of the Vancouver Canucks' longest-serving forwards is poised to hit unrestricted free agency on July 1, unless a deal is reached in the final days on June.

On Tuesday, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman may have revealed where Boeser is likely to sign come July 1.

Boeser expected to sign with the Minnesota Wild.

Antonio Losada from Athlon Sports writes that according to Friedman, who appeared on the "Donnie & Dhali" show on Monday, Boeser is expected to test the free agent market rather than re-sign with the Canucks before July 1.
"Among the clubs Friedman mentioned as possible destinations are the Ottawa Senators, Minnesota Wild, San Jose Sharks and Los Angeles Kings." -Losada

Boeser, who recently completed a three-year contract worth just under $20 million, has yet to agree on an extension with Vancouver. However, it remains uncertain if he would be open to returning to the Canucks depending on his options in free agency.
«Well, I think Boeser hits the market. I don't think that's a huge surprise to everybody out there.» -Friedman
Boeser netted 25 goals and contributed 25 assists during the 2024-25 season, playing in 75 regular-season games. His overall production saw a significant decline compared to the previous year, dropping from 73 to 50 total points.
Boeser hinted at a likely departure when addressing his future shortly after the Canucks were eliminated from playoff contention in April.
"Honestly, it's unlikely at this point. We all know it's been a roller coaster of a year. There's been a lot of different things." -Boeser

We'll have to wait till next week for everything to unfold.
