As the Avalanche approach the start of a new season, the team has made several key roster cuts during training camp.
Ronnie Attard cleared waivers today and will report to the Eagles' camp as well.
On Friday, the Avalanche announced that they've reassigned defensemen
Saige Weinstein,
Hank Kempf, and Connor Kelley to the AHL Colorado Eagles.
Earlier this week, the Avalanche also re-assigned
Christian Humphreys to the OHL's Kitchener Rangers, while
Max Curran (Edmonton, WHL) and
Linus Funck (London, OHL) were returned to their junior teams to continue their development.
The Avalanche have now faced 51 players on their camp roster and will return to the ice Tuesday night for their fourth scheduled preseason game at Ball Arena against the Vegas Golden Knights. Colorado's current preseason roster now sits at 35.
The Avalanche remain flawless in their preseason, maintaining a perfect 3-0 record so far.
As the Avalanche near the end of preseason, the team has shown flashes of chemistry, skill, and depth that hint at an exciting season with a real shot of capturing another Stanley Cup championship.
Their next game against Vegas will go Tuesday night at 6 p.m. MT from Ball Arena.
