Right before the playoffs begin between the Dallas Stars, and Colorado Avalanche, Dallas was just hit with some tough injury news after deciding not to rest some of their players.

Heading into their final game of the year, the Dallas Stars got hit with some bad injury news during their 5-1 loss against the Nashville Predators.
Many teams like the Colorado Avalanche have been opting to rest their star players, but the Dallas Stars decided to dress most of theirs including Jason Robertson, Roope Hintz, Mikko Rantanen, Matt Duchene and others during their final game of the year that meant nothing to them.
A lot of teams do not risk a possible injury in meaningless games after they make the playoffs, and choose to rest their stars so they are good to go for the beginning of the playoffs, especially when it comes to facing a bottom of the league team.
Dallas decided to do the complete opposite, and are now paying the price for it as some horrible injury news surfaced for them during their last game.

Dallas Stars Lose A Key Player To Injury

Robertson has been leading the Dallas Stars in points this season, but it looks like he won't be available for game one of the playoffs after suffering an injury, and it doesn't look good.

Dallas Stars head coach Pete Deboer said after the game

«The purpose of resting people down the stretch was to hopefully avoid injury and unfortunately we didn't do that with the Robertson injury. So, tough night.»
It was reported that Robertson left the arena last night wearing a knee brace, and was in a lot of pain according to a Predators reporter.
The injury happened during the second period when Robertson was hit by Michael McCarron.
Robertson did not miss a game for the Stars this season playing in 81 games, but left the last game of the year with an injury, and he lead the team in goals with 35.
This is definitely going to benefit the Avalanche heading into game one of the series.
