With a commanding 5-0 victory in Game 5 on Monday, the Abbotsford Canucks eliminated the Colorado Eagles in embarrassing fashion and punched their ticket to the AHL's Western Conference Final.
With their
Game 7 loss to the Dallas Stars in the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Colorado Avalanche have now lost seven straight Game 7's, setting an unfortunate NHL postseason record.

Steven McGoey from The Hockey News writes that despite leading the league with 250 goals during the regular season, the Eagles found it difficult to generate offence against the Canucks, managing just nine goals in five games.

T.J. Tynan, who recorded 41 assists and 49 points in 52 regular season games, was limited to just two assists in the series, his only points of the entire postseason.

Jack Ahcan to injury in Game 2 of Colorado's second-round series against San Jose dealt a major blow, as the team struggled to compensate for his time and offensive contributions.
