BREAKING: Avalanche star voices frustration and may request a trade out of Colorado

A recent report suggests that Martin Necas isn't a big fan of the Colorado Avalanche organization.
Necas has yet to start extension talks with the team, and according to NHL Insider Nick Kypreos, he may be considering opportunities elsewhere around the league.
Avalanche star voices displeasure, which may lead to a trade out of Colorado.
Joshua Deeds from Hawks Insider reports that Necas has one year remaining on his $6.5 million AAV contract before hitting unrestricted free agency. It's a bit ironic that after going to such lengths to move on from Rantanen rather than pay him, the Avalanche now find themselves in a similar predicament.
Oh, goodie... Another summer of Necas drama. I hope he and COL nip this in the bud on July 1st.
If these reports are real, there's no reason to doubt that teams will be lining up to offer up Necas whatever he wants once he becomes a free agent next summer.
Deeds also writes that GM Kyle Davidson and the Chicago Blackhawks might look to kickstart trade talks with the Avalanche by offering a prospect and a first-round pick. Given that Colorado parted with top prospect Calum Ritchie in the deal for Brock Nelson, they're in need of restocking their prospect pipeline.
"The Blackhawks could weaponize their cap space and draft capital in order to pry Necas from the Avalanche. It seems something was awry in Ball Arena, as not even Jared Bednar could find a way to shut the Dallas Stars down in the 1st-round." -Deeds
Necas could land of the Blackhawks' top line, providing Connor Bedard with the skilled linemate he's been missing since arriving in the NHL.
