Avalanche have officially given up on four players ahead of regular season

With the NHL regular season just days away, the Colorado Avalanche have made a significant roster decision, placing four players on waivers as they finalize their lineup.
Roster cuts are expected to accelerate in the coming days, with the season opener just 10 days away.
Avalanche have placed four players on waivers on Saturday.
If they go unclaimed by noon MT on Sunday, they are expected to be assigned to the AHL's Colorado Eagles.
None of the four players will dress for Saturday's preseason game.

The Avalanche's impressive back-to-back preseason victories over the Utah Mammoth this past weekend have not only showcased the team's depth and potential but also sparked major expectations that this could be the beginning of a highly promising season ahead.
As the Avalanche near the end of preseason, the team has shown flashes of chemistry, skill, and depth that hint at an exciting season with a real shot of capturing another Stanley Cup championship.
The Avalanche have now faced 51 players on their camp roster and will return to the ice on Saturday for their third scheduled preseason game at Ball Arena against their divisional rival Dallas Stars. Colorado's current preseason roster now sits at 44.
