A New Development Surfaces In Avalanche's Captain Gabriel Landeskog Joining The Team On A Conditioning Stint

Once again, captain Gabriel Landeskog was a full participant at the Avalanche's practice on Monday morning. It was revealed that he will not play any games for the Avalanche in the NHL this week, but there is a chance that they could get back some other injured skaters.

At practice Landeskog looked super good again, and is starting to ramp up his intensity during his skates, and his workload is continuing to increase with the team.

On Monday, Landeskog was present for the entire practice, and was very active on the ice as you can see in the clip below:

Over the weekend, while the Avalanche were on a road trip, Landeskog ended up skating with the Colorado Eagles, their AHL affiliate, and now a new development has surfaced in him possibly joining the team on a conditioning stint.

Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar spoke out on the matter and had this to say:

After hearing that, Bednar was asked if he wants to see Landeskog play some conditioning games in the AHL instead of just practicing, and this was his response:

Chris MacFarland made it seem like this was impossible when he met with the media ahead of the NHL trade deadline, and now it seems like there is a very good possibility that it does end up happening.
