A recent announcement revealed that a former longtime captain has tragically passed away at 54-years-old

Recently the hockey community has been hit with a lot of tragic and heartbreaking news. Well they have once again been hit with the same pretty horrible news just recently.
A recent announcement revealed that former longtime player and captain Toby Chamberlain has tragically passed away earlier this week.
Sadly, this death takes place at just the age of 54-years-old according to reports, and it was revealed that he was a longtime hockey player and captain for the Great Britain team.
Throughout his 11 year hockey career, Chamberlain ended up cementing his hockey name after he suited up for the Bournemouth Stags, Swindon Wildcats, Bracknell Bees, and then went on to the international level, playing for his country during the 1988-89 Wold Junior Championship, in which he ended up wearing the "C" on his chest during the tournament.
Chamberlain hoped to always have the chance tow in the Autumn Cup, and he played in the postseason 4 times, trying to win the Cup, which is something thet is the most sought-after in the British hockey community.
Once his teammates learned about the passing of Chamberlain, they quickly took to social media to say this:
The Bespoke Guardians Swindon Wildcats were saddened to learn of the death of former player Toby Chamberlain earlier this week.
Chamberlain started his hockey career in the early 1980s in his hometown club Bournemouth Stags alongside his brother, Luke. He answered the call of former teammate Daryl Lipsey to join the Wildcats in 1987, featuring in over 100 games for the club as a fan favourite, no-nonsense defenceman.
The club extends their sincerest heartfelt condolences to Toby's family and friends at this sad time.
