Transaction: Colorado Avalanche GM Chris MacFarland Announced A Surprising 5 Player Roster Move

The Colorado Avalanche are gearing up for their first-round matchup, and are set to face former Avalanche superstar Mikko Rantanen and the Dallas Stars in a rematch, but will be looking for a different outcome this year.

Recently, the Avalanche have been without six of their top players, most of them are due to injuries, Bednar also wanted to rest some of them.

Bednar revealed that all the injured players are considered day-to-day, but they are expected to be back for the playoffs.

The Avalanche might also get a surprise for game one, or sometime during the first-round as it's looking like Gabriel Landeskog could very well be joining them at some point.

The Colorado Avalanche recently had to recall multiple players to fill out their roster as they were dealing with a bunch of injuries, and it was announced that those players will now be reassigned back down to the Colorado Eagles.

MacFarland announced Chris Wagner, T.J. Tynan, Jack Ahcan, Wyatt Aamodt, and Jere Innala have all been returned to the Colorado Eagles.

All focus is now turning to game one of the playoffs.
