Colorado Avalanche HC Jared Bednar confirms Gabriel Landeskog's return is closer than ever
Despite head coach Jared Bednar confirming Landslog's return to the line up, he is now calling him an option for the series now.
There likely won't be any official announcement, so we'll find out during warmups on Saturday evening, probably around 6:00 p.m. MT, as puck drop will likely be at 6:30PM MT.
Bednar added that Landeskog is «getting close» and he's been happy with his improvement this week.
"He's getting close, obviously every day I think he's getting a little quicker and a little bit more confident... he'll be an option for us in this series."
This is obviously something that GM Chris MacFarland or head coach Jared Badnaf would say about Landeskog playing game 1 against the Stars.
As of now, the captain skated in his first competitive hockey games in nearly three seasons this past weekend for
the Colorado Eagles (the Avalanche's AHL affiliate), where he went on to tally his first professional career goal since 2022.
Landeskog's road to recovery has truly been a remarkable journey, and every day we get closer and closer to having Jim's official returning to the lineup fully.
