Three big named Colorado Avalanche players called out ahead of do-or-die game vs the Dallas Stars

The Colorado Avalanche are currently one game behind the Dallas Stars in their First-Round playoff series, standing at 2-3, and three key-players have been called out prior to their do-or-die matchup.
Setting the stage is critical for the team's upcoming matchup for Game 6 this Thursday, and despite several players shining brightly, the organization has been struggling with a few player within their postseason thus far.
Three Colorado Avalanche players who are in need to up their game for Game 6 vs the Dallas Stars
Cale Makar been a defensive cornerstone for the Av's and has been reliable, yet, he's been lacking his usual offensive spark.
Averaging over 26 minutes per game, Makar has just two assists, and although that may seem like a decent number for a defensemen, Makar dominated last season with nine points against Winnipeg in Round 1, and six points against Dallas in Round 2.
Brock Nelson was acquired in a major trade from the New York Islanders, yet, he seems to be struggling to match Colorado's high-octane attack.
He did in fact show promise in Game 4, but with his playoff pedigree (27 goals in 82 games with New York), the forward is suggested to be capable of delivering more than he's been offering the organization.
Martin Necas is another deadline addition, but has also been lacking offensively, managing just one assists thus far, the forward needs to be more decisive for the organization to be able to justify their trade cost.
His power-play struggles stem from overpassing instead of shooting, but the forward is in dire need to prove his abilities in such a crucial time.
Unlike their Game 5 against the Dallas Stars in 2020, where they trailed behind 3-1, the Avalanche have now proven their ability to seize control.
However, contributions from their depth players are more than vital, but Makar, Nelson, and Necas must rediscover their form to push Colorado to new extremes to pass Dallas and deepen into the playoffs this series.
