A third-straight Stanley Cup could be within reach for the Florida Panthers, at least according to team captain Aleksander Barkov, who believes his team is still firmly in its championship window.

Barkov's most recent comments have left Colorado Avalanche fans uneasy heading into next season.

Barkov threatens every NHL team in latest development.

Antonio Losada from Athlon Sports writes that Barkov clearly wants the rest of the NHL to be aware of the Panthers' intentions, and he made those plans known on Saturday during the ongoing celebrations of Florida's second consecutive championship.
Here's what Barkov told the Miami Herald days after leading the Panthers to their second consecutive title.
«I don't see us slowing down." -Barkov

Only three franchises in NHL history have accomplished a three-peat: the Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Maple Leafs, and New York Islanders.
The Panthers have solidified themselves as the NHL's newest dynasty in the making, with only the Vegas Golden Knights standing in their way, halting a potential three-peat by defeating Florida in the 2023 Stanley Cup Final.
After securing the Stanley Cup earlier this week, Panthers' general manager Bill Zito made it clear that the franchise is prepared to spend whatever it takes to keep its core intact, including re-signing key pending free agents like Aaron Ekblad, Sam Bennett, and Brad Marchand.
Here's what Zito said during a recent appearance on The Pat McAfee Show...
"We're going to spend to the cap. "The Viola family ownership has empowered us to try to do everything we can to have the best team we can. So we're going to spend it all." -Zito

If Zito does manage to bring back the same core, there's no denying that Florida has the best chance in running it all back for a third straight season.
