After missing the playoffs and finishing as one of the league's bottom teams, the Boston Bruins are expected to take an aggressive approach this offseason.

With free agency approaching, one key area the Bruins need to address is their defense, and reports indicate that they have their eyes set on a familiar player.

Bruins are all-in on Lindgren this summer.

Earlier today, NHL insider Anthony Di Marco reported that Ryan Lindgren will in-fact test free agency come July 1.
Sounds like defenseman Ryan Lindgren will in fact be headed to UFA.

The #goavsgo  have been trying to move out money (Coyle and Girard specifically, as listed on @frank_seravalli's trade targets board) but have been unsuccessful.
Cole Shelton from Heavy.com writes that Lindgren just wrapped up a one-year, $4.5 million contract and is now expected to land a multi-year deal. The 27-year-old defenseman split last season between the New York Rangers and Colorado Avalanche, who acquired him at the trade deadline. Across both teams, he played in 72 games, tallying 4 goals and 18 assists for a total of 22 points.
With free agency less than a week away, bolstering the blue line is a priority for the Bruins, and according to The Fourth Period, they could be eyeing a reunion with their former top prospect.
«Lindgren is heading to free agency and will be testing the market. There are a lot of teams interested in a rugged, right-shot defenceman, and Lindgren should cash in on a solid contract, especially given his age. Teams reportedly linked: Columbus, Boston, Detroit, Edmonton." -The Fourth Period

Drafted 49th overall by the Bruins in 2016, Lindgren was a key piece in the trade that brought Rick Nash to Boston. However, he never suited up for the Bruins, as he was dealt while still playing college hockey.
We'll have to wait a bit longer to see how it all unfolds.
