During his first game back to professional hockey, Gabriel Landeskog set a new all-time record with the Colorado Eagles.

For nearly three years, fans have been waiting for Gabriel Landeskog to play in a game, and the Colorado Avalanche made this possible when they announced he was going on a conditioning stint with the Colorado Eagle earlier in the week.
There was some speculation that he wasn't going to play in their game on Friday, but after the morning skate the Avalanche confirmed he was good to go.
After it was announced that Landeskog was playing in his first professional game in nearly three years, an insider revealed that multiple surprising guests were going to be in attendance including Nathan MacKinnon, and Cale Makar, plus others as well.
Ticket prices for the game ramped up, as it was a highly anticipated return for Landeskog, and some tickets were selling for over $2,000 which is mind blowing.
Not only that, but Landeskog ended up breaking a record in his first professional game back, and it's one you wouldn't expect.

Landeskog Sets An All-Time New Record

Many may think the record he broke was something along the lines of him being the first player to appear in a game after missing over 1000+ days, but that wasn't the case.
Landeskog's return to the ice with the Colorado Eagles ended up setting a new single high in viewership for FloHockey, as they had over 120,000 people tune into the game to watch him play.
Gabe Landeskog's return to the ice with the AHL's Colorado Eagles set a single game viewership record for FloHockey with more than 120,000 people tuning in to watch the captain play for the first time in three years.
Fans are super excited that this is even a possibility after many believed he was going to retire.
Now it's just to wait and see if he will be able to join the Avalanche for their upcoming post-season run!
