Gabriel Landeskog Sent A Clear Message To Mikko Rantanen After Clash In Game Three
Colorado Avalanche's captain Gabriel Landeskog sent a clear message to former teammate Mikko Rantanen after their first clash against each other on Wednesday night.
After making his return back to the NHL Colorado Avalanche's captain Gabriel Landeskog wasted no time in greeting his former teammate and now rival in Mikko Rantanen.
Landeskog threw a massive hit on Rantanen at center ice, and set the tone for a gritty game 3. Even though the Avalanche ended up losing 2-1, Landeskog took the time after the game to share an emotional message with Rantanen.
For just appearing in his first game in nearly three years, Landeskog wasted no time in making his presence felt. Landeskog used his size and threw his weight around on every Stars player, and got the crowd involved.
During his first shift, Landeskog layed the body on Rantanen-of every Stars players-prompting an eruption from the sold-out barn.
Following the game, Landeskog spoke out on it and stated that there is no bad intentions there at all.
«Regardless of what jersey [Rantanen] wears, I love him,» Gabriel Landeskog admitted during his postgame press conference.
Nobody ended up believing that Gabriel Landeskog was ever going to play another game in the NHL, and that's what made his comeback so important to him because he wanted to prove the doubters wrong.
After the game he spoke out on the situation and had this to say:
«It was amazing. I'm just blessed and very fortunate to be able to feel those feeling,» Landeskog said. «I mean, that's a memory for life. As simple as that»
The Avalanche are currently down 2-1 in the series and will look to tie it back up on Saturday night.
