Gabriel Landeskog Makes A Shocking Admission Regarding His Return From Injury Ahead Of Playoffs

After returning from an injury that kept Gabriel Landeskog out for nearly 3 years, he made a shocking admission regarding his return ahead of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Landeskog had a shocking admission following his second game with the Colorado Eagles though.
On April 11th, 2025, fans got to witness something they never thought they would be able to again as Landeskog laced up the skates for his first game since they hoisted the Stanley Cup on June 26th, 2022. Landeskog is defying the odds right now after having multiple knee surgeries, and a cartilage replacement surgery on his knee.
Landeskog played a big role in the Eagles comeback win late in the third period by getting an assist on a goal, and then scoring one of his own, helping the Eagles comeback and beat the Henderson Silver Knights 4-3 in a shootout.
After the game, Landeskog made a shocking admission about his performances since he has returned from injury.
Landeskog's Shocking Admission Regarding His Return
Landeskog admitted that he isn't where he wants to be right now, but stated that it's a good step in the right direction going forward:
«In terms of timing, touches, and things like that, [I am] not anywhere near to where I wanted to be, but I think it's a good step in the right direction,» Landeskog said, via DNVR Avalanche on X.
Just the fact of him playing games right now is a huge step in the right direction, and there is a good chance where he rejoins the Avalanche lineup at some point during the NHL playoffs.
