Former Colorado Avalanche star Mikko Rantanen officially deems former teammate as enemies

The Colorado Avalanche and Dallas Stars best-of-seven playoff series has officially begun on Saturday night, and will continue on Monday night as game two will be at 7:30PM MT.

This series is something many fans were looking forward to considering the Avalanche faced the Stars in the Conference Semi-Finals last year and lost the series in six games.

Thankfully, the Avalanche have a pretty decent playoff history against the Stars, as they have a record of 19-18 overall. The Stars having home ice doesn't matter too much, as the Avalanche have an 11-8 record on the road.

Something the Colorado Avalanche want to keep up, but this year things will be different as they now have to face former teammate Mikko Rantanen.

Just recently Mikko Rantanen spoke with reporters, during their practice on Friday ahead of Game one. While doing so he discussed what it was going to be like when he faces his former team and teammate for the first time in the playoffs.

Following game one, Mikko Rantanen spoke to the media and revealed what it was like to face off against his former teammates, Rantanen then explained that it's different but until this playoff series is over he will look at the Avalanche organization to be his enemy.

Definitely weird to hear him state that but ultimately that's the new reality of life now.
