F Nicolas Aubé-Kubel, acquired by #NYR from Buffalo at the trade deadline, signs a one-year contract with the Minnesota Wild.

Dylan Loucks from The Hockey News writes that former Avalanche Cup champion Nicolas Aube-Kubel inks a one-year, two-way contract worth $775,000 in the NHL and $500,000 in the American Hockey League.
Aube-Kubel, 29, tallied one goal, one assist, 40 hits, and 19 penalty minutes over 22 games last season split between the Buffalo Sabres and New York Rangers. Over the course of his seven-season NHL career, he's played in 304 games, registering 32 goals, 48 assists, 80 points, 672 hits, and 202 penalty minutes.
Aube-Kubel was part of the Avalanche's Stanley Cup-winning team in 2022. During that championship season, the 6-foot forward posted 11 goals, 11 assists, and 22 points, along with 123 hits and 41 penalty minutes across 67 games.
"This provides the Wild with some AHL depth and someone who can play NHL games if needed. He has 56 goals, 61 assists and 117 points in 255 career AHL games as well." -Loucks
We'll see if the former Avalanche Cup champion can get any NHL action in the upcoming season with the Wild.
